Here at JBS there is plenty of opportunity to be involved in various Performing Arts activities that are running which not only support our wide and varied curriculum but also give you the opportunity to work with a range of students from all year groups.

Whole School Productions:

We run an annual Lower School production every year performed in the last week of the summer term. This year we will be performing Shakespeare 4 Kidz acclaimed production Macbeth.

Every two years we embark upon a large scale whole school show that is performed in the last week of the Christmas term. Previous shows have included A Christmas Carol, Bugsy Malone, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Oliver!

In 2009 we performed the hit West End musical Grease. And what a show it was! Seen by almost 2000 people over the space of eight sold out shows to the general public and local primary schools.

The Performing Arts team have announced the 2011 Christmas show and you can find out inforamtion by clicking here! We are also undertaking our fourth summer enrichment show. Over the past four years we have performed 'adapted' Shakespeare plays from the company Shakepeare 4 Kidz. These have been highly successful and this year we are producing Macbeth. Rehearsals are underway and if you click on the Macbeth image below you can find out more about the show!
